We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information fairly, securely and transparently. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who it may be shared with and the rights available to you.

Technical information generated when you use our website, which may include your IP address, browser, device, referring page and cookie preferences.
Please do not provide information about another person unless you have permission to do so.
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We may collect personal information:
Directly from you through our website, email, telephone, WhatsApp, booking discussions, application forms or in-person communication.
When you join our mailing list, enter a competition, submit work, attend an event or provide feedback.
From photographers, models, creatives, event organisers or collaborators where they are authorised to provide the information.
Through website-hosting, communication, booking, payment and analytics services where these are enabled.
From publicly available professional portfolios or social-media profiles when considering a genuine creative collaboration.
HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
Respond to enquiries and discuss potential bookings or collaborations.
Administer bookings, deposits, payment plans, events, workshops, studio days, tours and international experiences.
Assess casting, employment, education, mentorship or collaboration applications.
Operate competitions and awards, contact entrants, verify eligibility, arrange judging and announce results.
Deliver services and communicate important information before, during and after an experience.
Make appropriate accessibility, dietary, health and safety or emergency arrangements.
Maintain financial, tax, contractual and administrative records.
Send news and promotional communications where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits us to do so.
Protect participants, creatives, our business and our website from fraud, misuse, unlawful conduct or security threats.
Improve our experiences, communications and website.
Publish approved imagery, testimonials, credits and creative work for editorial, portfolio or promotional purposes.
OUR LAWFUL BASES
Under UK data-protection law, we must have a lawful reason for using personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:
Contract — where information is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking or to provide a booked service.
Legal obligation — where records must be retained or information used to comply with the law.
Legitimate interests — where processing is reasonably necessary to operate, protect or develop The Atelier of Muses, respond to enquiries, organise experiences or promote our creative work, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent — where you have made a clear choice, including for certain marketing, sensitive information, testimonials or uses of imagery.
Vital interests — in exceptional circumstances where information is necessary to protect someone’s life.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
HEALTH, ACCESSIBILITY AND OTHER SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Information concerning health, disability, allergies or accessibility may be classed as special-category information.
We request only information reasonably necessary to make an experience safe and accessible. We will normally process it with your explicit consent, alongside an appropriate lawful basis. In an emergency, information may also be used where necessary to protect someone’s vital interests.
Please provide only the information that is relevant to your participation.
PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING AND CREATIVE WORK
Photography and filming may form an essential part of Atelier experiences. The intended use of event imagery will be explained through the relevant event information, booking terms, model release, contributor agreement or consent process.
Where appropriate, images, video, testimonials and credits may be used on our website, portfolio, social-media channels, printed materials, press coverage or other promotional and editorial communications.
Sensitive, intimate or adult-themed material will only be created and used in accordance with the agreed boundaries, permissions and release arrangements for the project.
Copyright ownership and permitted usage will be governed by the relevant booking terms, competition terms, licence, release or separate written agreement.
COMPETITIONS AND AWARDS
If you enter an Atelier competition, we may use your information to administer the competition, assess entries, contact finalists and winners, award prizes, prevent misuse and publish results.
Entrants are responsible for having appropriate permission from photographers, models and other contributors before submitting work.
Competition entries and results will also be governed by the published Competition Terms and Conditions.
MARKETING AND MAILING LISTS
We may send news about Atelier experiences, opportunities, castings, competitions or other relevant developments where you have consented or where applicable law permits us to do so.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in a marketing email or contacting: victoriah@atelierofmuses.com
We may retain a minimal suppression record so that we remember not to contact you again for marketing.
PAYMENTS, TIPS AND FUNDRAISING
When payment facilities are introduced, payments may be handled by an independent payment provider. That provider will process payment information under its own privacy policy. We may receive confirmation of the payment, the payer’s identity, the amount and a transaction reference, but we do not normally receive complete card details.
Links to GoFundMe or other fundraising, donation or tipping platforms take you to an independent third-party website. Information supplied to that platform is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
WHO WE MAY SHARE INFORMATION WITH
Where necessary and proportionate, information may be shared with:
Website, email, mailing-list, communications and cloud-storage providers.
GoDaddy, where its website, form, hosting or marketing services are used.
WhatsApp and Meta when you communicate with us through WhatsApp or connected social-media services.
Payment, booking, ticketing or fundraising providers.
Venues, accommodation providers, transport providers and other suppliers involved in delivering an experience.
Models, photographers, educators, hair and makeup artists, assistants, editors and other authorised creative collaborators where they require the information to perform their role.
Judges or administrators involved in a competition or award.
Accountants, insurers, legal advisers and other professional advisers.
Police, regulators, courts or public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information.
INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Some service providers, collaborators or destinations may be located outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate legal safeguard applies. International experiences may also require limited information to be shared with relevant overseas suppliers in order to provide the requested service.
HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, financial, insurance and dispute-resolution requirements.
As a general guide:
Routine enquiries may be kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
Booking, invoice, payment and tax records may normally be retained for up to six years, or longer where legally required.
Marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe or we determine that it is no longer required.
Unsuccessful competition entries may normally be retained for up to 12 months after the competition ends.
Winner, award and publication records may be retained for longer as part of the Atelier’s legitimate archive and promotional record.
Health, dietary and accessibility information will normally be deleted within three months after an experience unless it is needed in connection with an incident, dispute or legal requirement.
Releases, permissions and licensing records may be retained for as long as the related images or creative work remain in use and for a reasonable period afterwards.
These periods may be shortened or extended where the circumstances reasonably require it.
SECURITY
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information from accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
However, no website, email or internet communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email, contact forms or WhatsApp.

Our standard experiences, castings and adult-themed creative activities are intended for people aged 18 or over unless clearly stated otherwise.
We do not knowingly collect information from a child through these activities. If a specific youth or family activity is offered, appropriate information and permission will be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.
